My life in past, present and future events

It is said that the past events shouldn’t be bring back to the present because it might have us wish what we can’t  get back, and as a consequence, to damage ourselves deeply. However, to recall what I lived 15 years ago makes me smile, laugh, and have a moment of tranquility in my heart and mind.  One of the things I can get out of my mind is when my mum didn’t allow my siblings and I to watch the soap opera due to the fact that we had homework to do. After dinner, we would sit at the table all together and start doing our assignments. My mum was the one who helped us do our tasks because my dad was busy checking tests or preparing the lessons for the next day. Besides, he was not patient enough to teach us. If we were lucky and finished earlier our tasks as we used to, we could see the last five minutes of the soap opera.   Despite it may look a kind of strictness, we got used to having this routine; moreover, the next day we had our reward; we could get up late and watch our favorite cartoons on the TV.  Another event that I love remembering is when my brother and I used to play to be gunmen; a game that many times ended in a fight.  The game had the simplest and easiest rule: who kills the enemy, it is the winner. Nevertheless, neither of us wanted to lose so the fights started. They finished when my mum told us off. Although we are now adults, I must confess that we still have the same argues, which have the same ends as they did when we were children: to be scolded by mum and dad and get angry at each other.

Definitely, the time has flown so fast and now I am 23. It is not easy to realize that I have a university student life, and I get overwhelmed by issues that affect everybody, such as love, friendship, maturity, frustration, solitude, responsibility, wrong and right decisions, etc.  Even though that there are things that make life a bit complicated, I spend my days trying to do what I like, be and know myself, enjoy my friends and my family, dream, make projects, give up the same projects,  and so on.  And as part of me, who gets stressed thinking and analyzing every and each situation, I love reading psychological articles and studies in order to understand and know the processes we undergo as beings who think and feel. So then and because I have lastly been concerned with my future career, I have started to think of what I want and wish as a professional and who I want to become. Consequently, as a pre-service teacher who is really passionate of teaching and I am willing to making positive and meaningful changes in students’ lives, I have realized that I want to get specialized in the area of Neuroscience and Education.

I hope heartily that within 15 years I will have finished my Magister’s degree in Brain, Mind, and Education, and consequently I will be teaching English to my students  based on the strategies and  principles regarding Neuroscience and Education. Besides, I will have traveled to many countries, I will speak more than three languages, and I will have learned to cook a variety of dishes. And one of the most important thing for me, I will have formed my own family, and I will be educating my children to be people who love the Arts and enjoy learning.
